SERVICES > eCommerce Sites
At its simplest, ecommerce can be as basic as the user submitting a form to request that you contact them to take payment for something they would like to buy. The next stage involves collecting the customers payment details and taking a payment as part of the users submission. This is relatively simple to achieve where you only have a small number of products/services available to buy online. Integration with basic payment systems like PayPal can be achieved without extensive development work. As the size of your product/service offering increases, these basic payment integrations become increasingly unwieldy and some form of shopping cart system becomes inevitable. We have developed, and continue to develop, our own complete CMS managed ecommerce system in the form of i-BikeShop. Originally developed specifically for Bicycle Retailers it can be used by many different types of retail operation. It is essentially a website-in-a-box solution which allows any aspiring online retailer the opportunity to quickly and effectively establish an online presence. It has a small number of cycle shop specific features which are disabled within non-cycle sites. Ideal for retailers where the initial expenditure is a hurdle, but whom do not wish to be restricted by their own budgetary constraints when setting up a website. Each i-BikeShop receives an individual design, and after a small initial set-up fee is purely a subscription based system. BUT i-BikeShop places retailers in charge of their own destiny because it is an almost totally self managed website solution. You decide what products go in to it, YOU control the content of your pages and YOU have almost full control of each and every element of your sites' content. All the tools needed are supplied as part of the system, and all* running costs of your site are included within the small monthly lease/subscription. (Please see full i-BikeShop site for the full pricing details) To make life a little less time consuming for cycle retail businesses, we also dreampt up the i-BikeShop Central database which enables i-BikeShop users to load product from a broad spectrum into their sites with minimal effort. i-BikeShop has its very own site, plus a full working demo such that you can see for yourself just how easy and fast it can be to self maintain. The link provided is for the public access display side of the site. If you wish to see the demo "back-office" facilities, please visit the i-BikeShop site and submit an admin demo request.
